Diagnosed with copd today

Hi. I went to the walk in clinic today because I was ice cold and had trouble breathing. I thought my anemia was getting worse. They did an x Ray and told me my lungs looked good except I had COPD. I didn't ask questions because I was sick and very tired. A month ago I had an x ray of my lungs and no one said anything about COPD. Can this happen that fast?  What can I expect?  My oxygen level was 98%. Thank you.

Thank you for your response.  The x ray showed hyper inflated lungs consistent with COPD. I've been very worried. Getting breathing tests done Tuesday.

It sounds more like an infection. COPD takes years to develop, shouldn't make you feel sick or cold and cannot be diagnosed with an x-ray. You should talk to your regular doctor and ask about a lung function test (spirometry).
