pain in chest

I have copd and asthma but my question is about my copd I am on oxygen 5 liters and I have massive pain in the middle of my chest witch radiates to my left arm to my jaw too went to emergency rooms so many times they did work ups noticed my swollen legs put me on water pill does nothing for the fluid in legs and feet I know the pain comes and goes in the chest the difficulty breathing the more shortness of breath the paleness of my face the lightheadness I know it has to do with my heart but they can't find anything they won't do a cardiac cath should they do one.

I do have a pulmonology specialist they do believe I have copd and scaring on my lungs they did a bronoscopy and said my lungs are closing  a lot so when I am at home he wants me to wear an oxygen mask at 7 liters I hate it but It makes me breathe so much better I noticed the difference when he put the oxygen mask on in the office my oxygen level shot way up and I felt wonderful so he left me in his office for an hour to breathe in the oxygen to get it in my lungs and then he told me to use the nose prongs at 5 liters when driving or walking it helps but not as much as the mask does I think cause it is a tight fitting one which allows more oxygen in for me but I feel alot better I am actually wearing it as I am writing to you.

I too have COPD and on nocturnal oxygen.  I have pains in my chest almost daily, in my neck, shoulders, sometimes even my arms.  I have just had a stress test and other heart-related tests and they are all negative.  My doctor feels this is probably the coughing and COPD, but has differed me to a pulmonology specialist for next week, just to be sure.

I have COPD and Asthma and am on nocturnal oxygen.  I also have pain in the middle of my chest, my neck and shoulders.  My doctor believes this is my lungs, not my heart.  To be safe, I have had stress tests, and a variety of other heart related tests, all come out negative.   The difficulty breathing, coughing, and shortness of breath are probably due to COPD, but do you have a pulmonary specialist you can see about it or are you just seeing a GP?
