Recommendation for good hepatologist in Florida

Looking for a referral for a good hepatologist in florida, if possible?  I need someone who specializes in the liver.  I’ve been to several
Gastroenterologists and they can’t seem to diagnose my condition.  They just give me their best guess and keep throwing new tests at me without gaining any new knowledge from the tests.  Thanks in advance

Ask your doctor for a referral of check with your insurance

You could check with UF Gainesville or the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville

Thank you!  I did ask my doctor and he didn’t know. I’m on my own on this one.  I’m just hoping to find one that can give me some answers and not the run around.  I’ve been through 3 Gastrointernologists and still clueless.  Thanks for your suggestions.
Just wondering why you are posting in the cirrhosis of the liver page. What symptoms do you have? Why do you believe you have liver cirrhosis? What is the cause of your liver damage?
Because some of the reports say cirrhosis and then others say fibrosis.  I don’t know the cause of the damage other than when I was sick as a teenager back in 1980 and was apparently miss diagnosed with Hepatitis B.  Recent testing shows I never had ANY type of hepatitis.  I’m sorry if I picked the wrong forum.
Cirrhosis is end stage of fibrosis. End stage means there is no higher level of fibrosis. Fibrosis just means scarring.

If you have cirrhosis concerned your in the right place no worries :-)

Do you know your BMI?
