Ralph the liver is such an amazing organ and can literally undo years of damage. I do believe that if you continue to not drink that your liver will become brand new.
Sometimes we can actually make ourselves sick with health worries. Most often they are unfounded but can actually mimic the disease we fear. If you find yourself overly exaggerating medical issues, you may want to talk to a professional to help you with these fears. I know this because at one point in my life it happened to me. Needless worry and concern is not an enjoyable way to go thru life. From all the tests you've had done, you now know that your liver is AOK. Try to no focus on whats wrong with your health, and be grateful for the good health that you have.
Best to you

Hi Kim, thanks for your input!
My worrys are because of alcohol, i feel such a prat when there are people on here with Hep c and similar through no fault of their own and are suffering. Im never drinking again ! Im ashamed I got my self into all this worry an testing etc.
I have had 2 sets of bloods 10 weeks apart and an ultrasound, i cant really get much better results, but still i worry about what damage may be there, doctors are starting to suggest i need mental help etc and wont do biopsy at all.
But i doubt I have end stage, but I could have some Fibrosis, im trying to get a fibroscan, but with my paranoia i doubt even that will ease my mind completely. I have added up my alcohol intake and its pretty scary, 30-40 units a week i would say, sometimes more, sometimes less, did used to take months and weeks off etc, but 10 years is a long time! I also ended up with a bad bout of Gastritis that is still lingering slightly 5 months on!
thanks for easing my mind, if I never drink again im sure i'll be ok
Wow!!!!!! What I would do to have an Ultrasound like yours. Would sum it up as "Perfect". Congrats on all fronts including the Bloodwork.
Your Platelets are a NONissue. They tend to fluctuate with frequency and yours are definately in the normal zone. In fact with Platelet #s the 150-400 range is good whether its 150 or 400. That's why they call it a range.
Your doing great!
