Can flu vaccine raise wbc count

Received flu vaccine 7 days before routine cbc. WBC count was approx 21,000 (high normal 11,000). Differential normal except for neutrophils, which were approx 17,000 (high normal 7,000). Can this be from vaccine or something more serious like a blood cancer? Haven’t been sick and no other symptoms at this time. Thank you. Jen

Did you ever get an explanation for this? Come back and tell me if you did. It's my understanding that the flu vaccine is not live vaccine and therefore, wouldn't affect your blood work. I have read though that if you are older, it may. Did you check in with your doctor? I'd be really curious what they said. Was the blood work repeated?
