Hi! I'm 17 years old and a few weeks ago, I started getting this sharp pain under my right breastbone when I would breathe. It's intense and during my bout of pain (usually for about a minute, though it always seems longer) it feels almost impossible for me to take a breath. It only happens from time to time but it's something I figured I shouldn't leave out. This, unfortunately, is only my first symptom as of now.
Two weeks ago, though I am not sure if it is related, I had a sickness of some kind. I'm not entirely sure if it was a flu or cold but I was throwing up and I had a temperature of 100.2 degrees. That ran its course after a day or two, and then I got a uti. I went to the doctor, he prescribed me with antibiotics and I went on my merry way. In between this time frame, I felt fine. Though after being diagnosed last year with LPR, and suffering from my symptoms for a year prior, I seem to be sick quite a lot. Yet again, I'm not sure if it's related though. Now onto my current situation...
On Thursday, I began feeling nauseas, I had a persistant headache and I was sneezing. Yesterday, I woke up to find that I couldn't stop coughing. My chest hurts when I breathe and when I cough, and I keep coughing up this disgusting green mucus. The nausea went away, but the headache stayed while I picked up a few more symptoms. Now my sinuses are congested, my chest feels like someone took a hammer to it, my headache still persists, my whole body is achy and sore, I am still sneezing, but I don't have a fever. My mom has me worried that with my combination of LPR, Vocal Cord Dysfunction, and these illnesses I keep picking up that maybe it could be something more serious. I figure it to be a cold but I would really love some input on whether or not this seems serious enough to force myself to go back to the doctor.
Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you!
