what is it

started feeling nauseated and light headed on Friday, stayed n bed saturday and sunday, felt okay as long as I was laying down or sitting.  The longer I stand the worse i feel.  Went to the doctor on Monday and he said I had a upper respiratory infection and gave me the z pack said I should feel better by yesterday which i do except when standing.  Got up this morning Wed. and took and bath and got dressed and felt okay until i started blow drying my hair and felt like i was gonna get sick and my heartwas beating in my throat.  Laid down and started feeling better.  Wondering if I was misdiagnosed and what it could be.

I recommend you see a neurologist.  Google Neuro-cardiogenic Syncope and POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) and see if the symptoms might fit.

Possibly you were and that maybe you should go see another doctor to be sure of this and if you have coverage, maybe call up a neurologist and they could maybe help you. Since your dizzy and that has to do with your head, that is what nuerologists specialize in and if they don't know what is the matter, try a regular doctor or just see a regular doctor first and if he doesn't help then try the neurologist and just keep searching for answers especially if its ongoing and it never goes away or it gets worse but if it gets worse and you have full coverage I think in my opinion you should go to the E.R.

Hi

How are you feeling now?  You should call your dr in case it needs additional tending to.  Feel better soon!
