Hi,
In preparing for implant surgery, 2 weeks ago I had bone graft surgery on the right side of my mouth. Even though the Dr. told me that the swelling that I'm experiencing would be gone in 7 to 10 days, I still have some swelling around my nose and cheecks and the jaw feels tingly and numb. I am very worried about the swelling since it does not appear to go down at all. I am in my twenties, healthy and I have followed all the right instructions by sleeping with the head elevated, applying moist heat; however, nothing seems to reduce the swelling further. I contacted my Dr. and he just said to give it time and he did not seem worried. Can somebody help me, is this common and could this swelling be permanent? How much longer should I wait for the swelling to go down?
Thank u so much for any information!
