If my boyfriend is on drugs, and wants a paternity test(DNA) would the test results will come in negative because the blood carries drugs, such as crystal??? would that affect the result to be positve even though he is the father??
Is there any way to determine the paternal father before the child is born? I have a friend who was just told there is a 50% chance he may be the father. I think this would be so hard for both the men involved-that one would think he is the father through the whole preganacy then at the end find out he is not. Each would want ot be involved in the prenatal visits etc. Apparently the possible conception date is so close that it is too hard to dtermine it from date of conception. it's a situation of a woman with a new boyfriend for 6 months and still having feeling for the old boyfriend. She hooked up with the old boyfriend during a weak time but is still with new boyfriend. Old boyfreind will step in if he knows he is the father but would be heartbroken to go through the pregnacy like the boby is his and hten find out it is the other guys. I know..what a situation and that bottom line- protected sex would have prevented this awkward situation. She was suppose to have been using the contraceptive patch. Is there any way to avoid the wondering for 9 months?
Hi, I'm not sure why this old post has come up, and though it will not help the original poster by now, for information of other readers, there are prenatal DNA tests.. They are done by a blood draw from the mother (her arm) and swabs from the potential fathers. Be very careful when choosing what company you use to do the testing, some are total rip-offs. Best at this time (2019) are Ravgen and the DDC.
