Hi, judgement is not allowed in the DNA/Paternity community. When was the earliest ultrasound in your pregnancy, and do you have the report from it?
May 14th she measured the baby about 8 weeks and 6 days
It sounds from your ultrasound like you conceived between March 25 and 29. Did they give you a due date from the 8 week 6 day ultrasound or did you only get the due date later?
You mentioned having sex on (Sunday) March 22, then "on Tuesday" (does that mean the 24th?) then "on Wednesday after," and then "on Thursday." What does "on Wednesday after" mean, the 25th or the Wednesday after that, April 1? Was the sex on Tuesday the one you are mostly concerned about, or was the sex on Thursday (that was protected) with someone not your husband?
Pulling out is not a way to keep from pregnancy, since a man could have had sperm in his urethra and it can come down in the fluid from the Cowper's gland (the pre-ejaculatory fluid). Obviously the person with whom you were having a lot of unprotected sex has the most chance. But if (and it is hard to tell without you clarifying what "on Wednesday after" means) if your unprotected sex with your husband was on the 22nd and the 25th, he has the strongest chance of being the dad. If the "Wednesday after" was the 1st, in other words, if you didn't have sex with your husband after the 22nd until April 1, you might need to consider the sex on the 24th as a stronger candidate.
It all happened the week of the 22nd. So yes the Wednesday meaning the 25th.
My due date is December 18th
Did they give you a due date from the 8 week 6 day ultrasound, or did you only later?
Also, is the only sex you are worried about the sex on Tuesday the 24th? Or was the protected sex on Thursday with someone not your husband?
Sorry, line dropped -- should say did you only *work it out yourself* later?
In other words, did the doc come in and say "You're 8 weeks 6 days pregnant and your estimated due date is December 18," or did you go home and figure out the December 18 part yourself from what the doctor did say? If you weren't told December 18 then, but were told it by the doctor later, how much later was it?
The doctor gave me the due date of December 18th
Should I be worried about the protected sex on Thursday?
Here is what the conception calculator I use says about the due date of December 18. Since the due date was given to you by the doctor at 8 weeks 6 days GA, it will be accurate to within +/- 2 days.
Probable date of ovulation: March 27
Possible dates of conception: March 23 to 31
Due date: December 18 (40 weeks)
If you had sex on the following schedule:
March 22 (husband, unprotected)
March 24 (not husband, unprotected)
March 25 (husband, unprotected)
March 26 (someone, protected)
and then you ovulated on March 27, the truth is any one of them could be the dad, including the one who wore a condom.
All of the sperm would still have been alive except perhaps that from the 22nd, if you did indeed ovulate on the 27th.
There is a slight possible margin for error by the 9th week when using an ultrasound to try to determine when a person conceived, it could be plus or minus two days. Even if you knew for sure you did ovulate on the 27th, it sounds like your husband and the other guy are pretty much equal possibilities since your husband and you had sex on the 25th.
Unfortunately there is no way to rule anyone out. (If the condom wearer was not one of the other two guys, he has less of a chance but not zero chance.)
