Brown dot in inside lip

I just noticed about an hour or so ago that I have a little brown/black dot on the inside of my bottom lip.  It's not raised or a bump.  I have no idea what it is.  I figure it may be nothing although I am a little concerned.  Does anyone know what it could be?

Your descriptions suggest physiologic melanin pigmentation of mucous membrane,  which is similar to skin freckle. If your are highly concerned, seeing an oral pathologist or oral medicine specialist is advised.

I also have recently noticed that i have developed a few dark brown dots on my bottom lip. One is bigger than the equally in size, other two dots. What are they and what do they mean? They do not irritate me. They are not causing any visible harm...yet. I'm very curious as to what these dots are and if they are due to some kind of sickness. How can i get rid of them if they are potentially hazardous?

please help,
