The donor site of graft tissue is taken from palate, in stead of skin. Lower lip will not droop due to frenectomy procedure. This is a minor surgical procedure.
1) I am not familiar with the terminology you used: what is "free"connective tissue graft?
2) Since they are cutting the connector between lip and bottom teeth I am concerned it will "loosen" the lower lip, don't want a droopy lip.
I am supposed to have a competent periodontist.
Just me worrying about something I have so little information.
Thanks for all your comments.
Free connective tissue graft generally yields promising result. Frenectomy generally doea'nt affect lip contour. Post-op pain is minimal. As long as your periodontist is competent, there is nothong to worry.
