Tooth pain

Ok ive had fillings on my bottom molars on the right and left side of my mouth, i went last year to my dentist for a re filling for both, soon after that i started getting a sharp pain only on my right upper molar above the bottom one which i just got the filling. The pain occurs when i clench my teeth when chewing on something( pizza crust for instance), my regular dentist couldnt figure out why so he referred me to an endodontist, she concluded i didnt need a root canal after the tests she gave me( we also recreated the pain with a very soft wood stick)....whats weird is i feel no pain in the molar in which the filling is on just the top molar...the endodontist xrays only showed a very very slight crack on the molar with the filling, she suggested i wait until my next cleaning with my regular dentist then decide what to do, to which she suggested trying to remove the filling completely then refilling again or putting a crown on the top molar, at this point i duuno what to do..is it possible to feel pain on my top molar even though nothing has been done to it???

That is it, make sure you know your dentist's training level. That is the key to success always.

Hi Alex,
Checking the bite, the right way, is more than just shaving one tooth. There is quite a bite that needs to be evaluated and all the teeth, where they meet one another, and the way your jaw opens and closes and moves need to be evaluated, even at times you joints. This could be a signal that there is much more going on than meets the eye and if caught early enough it could prevent some major damage. So in reality, this could be a blessing in disguise, and if you take care of it now, you will be able to protect the rest of the teeth. Take a look at these two links and it might help a little.

Did either of these dentists check your bite/occlusion?  Sounds like the bottom filling might be a little high, which could be putting added pressure to your upper tooth and cause the exact symptoms you mentioned.  I would have this checked first, as the fix is very easy.
