Were you prescribed antibiotics by your dentist?  Gum and tooth infections are considered something you should get professional advice on as you want to make sure to fully treat. You shouldn't increase your antibiotic on your own but let your doctor know the current one is not working well.  Have you been to the dentist by now to fully take care of this? How did it go?
