Upper Lip Condition
My top lip starts to feel rough and then when I apply Hydrogen peroxide to clean it, tiny little white dots appear and my lip burns? What are these little white dots that dry my lips and make them feel rough? Its the second time it has happened to me, I'm a medical students and I don't think its viral (herpes) because it doesnt have the vesicles and I don't think its Staph Aureus because it does not crust like a staph infection usually does.
I agree with Ania778. The hydrogen can be very rough on your delicate lip skin, and drying. If your top lip is feeling rough it's because it's dry to begin with. You need to moisturize it, NOT dry it.
Why are you cleaning your lip with hydrogen peroxide? Maybe you should try vaseline if your lip feels rough. I once used hydrogen peroxide to put a streak in my hair as a teenager and I think it made white dots appear on my fingers, maybe because it is bleach. Try using something gentler.
