Worried about Infection risk

On July 31st I had my lower left wisdom tooth removed, and have been recovering since. During this time when I would clean out the socket with the syringe that the dentist gave me I would feel an small acute pain inside the socket. Today I have stopped feeling this pain as my socket is nearly closed now. During the time when I would get this small acute pain I made out with a girl I met at a party over two weeks post surgery. I was wondering if the pain I had in the socket when cleaning was potentially dry socket, and if so am I at risk for an infection of some kind. Or is sensitive gums during cleaning a common place complaint. I had blood when cleaning out the socket the first couple days but haven't since one week post surgery.

Would you say that there is a specific STD risk in this scenario?

Hi, it would be best to have a follow up with the dentist since this was surgery but maybe jaw movement from the kissing caused an injury since this is now an open area.
