biodentine vs root canal
I went to have a cracked filling replaced. They said it had went into pulp and usually required root canal but instead placed a biotine filling in which in 4 weeks will be replaced with regular filling. Does anybody know anything about this?

This biotin filling placement is a procedure called direct pulp capping in which a pro-generative filling is placed upon a recently opened pulp which is yet not infected. This helps tissues form new dentin layer below the filling.
After about 4-6 weeks if your x-ray reveals dentin layer under the filling and your symptoms reduced then this filling will be replaced by a permanent filling.
