This sounds like you have something called dry socket.
Have you been prescribed a course of antibiotics?
Another tip is to use a warm salt water mouth rinse, salt is natural antibacterial agent and will also help to flush any food debris out that has trapped after eating.
Just disolve 1 teaspoon on salt in a beaker of water, as hot as you can tolerale.

Proper treatment of infection with suitable antibiotics and anti-inflammatory agents will be of great help. Also having soft diet and lots of liquids and avoiding jaw movements and biting will give relief. If pain persists, inspite of these measures then painkillers may be taken. Consult your Doctor.
