crown after root canal

Hello, yesterday I had a root canal done on my bottom right molar the very last moler I think #18.the dentist I was referred to was a root canal specialist who apparently only does the root canal!! Which I didn't realize till after the procedure!! She left me with what looks like bubble gum on the tooth as a temparary filling and told me I have to go somewhere else for the cap?? Today I have a lot of pain by the tooth .I'm also 8months preggo and my insurance is threw the state which ends after I deliver! I'm having trouble finding a dentist in my area that excepts my plan and my hmo was not a big help. ..giving me three numbers one to a pediatric dentist, other to clinic that doesn't do caps and other was no answer!! Very frustrated right now!!

Most general dentists do crown or cap restorations.it appears your problem is insurance coverage or financing issues.it,s difficult to get  help here.
Hope someone can help you out.

Also can anyone tell me how they do a crown on a bottom molar..? Do they have to do a full mouth impression or just an impression of that tooth? I'm asking becouse I also have a temp bridge  on my front six teeth and don't want it messed w/for now! Fear of it cracking or something and my insurance won't cover the bridge because they say its cosmetic and I don't have the money right now to finish it!!
