I hope this is the way to do this ... and afterthought to my previous post.
This is the first one ...
I am taking Trazodone. I Was prescribed 2 100 mg tablets. I started with 25 mg at bedtime. I can see that as I increase the nightly dose to 50 mg or more it will help with sleep and the other stuff.
I am concerned about the numerous side effects of the med. It is an older med.
Is there a newer med that will help with my sleep & depression & anxiety, & social anxiety that has less serious side effects? One that will do the same thing the Trazodone will
This is my afterthought ...
I liked what Wellbutrin did for me except the constant jitters. What about a small dose of Trazodone along with Wellbutrin.
Would the Trazodone help with the Wellbutrin jitters.
thanks, charles dee
You of course will have to talk to your dr about that. That being said I do think that could be a good medicine combination.
You'll definitely want to discuss this with your psychiatrist. Do note that meds that have been on the market over 10 years do have some bigger sense of security as we have more of an idea what they can cause long term compared to ones newer to the market. Your psychiatrist can help you weigh out the pros and cons of each medication given your medical history and such.
Thanks, of course you are right. I don't have a psyc. I see my family doc the last of this month and will see if he thinks I need a psyc or not. He is easy to talk to.
thanks again
