Changed from zyprexa to avanza

Hi  
Hey all!!
I got major rare malancholia depression!
Biological clinical. Thanks to my father having it. Tryed all different tabs too many. Tryed hypnotherapy :(
Been to trials at black dog worked a little. 
Now swapped from zyprexa to avanza 
*****. I'm in a kind of catatonic dream Now. 
My head hurts heaps feels all tense and tight
Sleep great though. Talk more. But feel inbetween reality!
Any answers would be g8t

thanks for the advice :)
I got really scared on the avanza so I've gone back to zyprexa and. Aropax again.
This is really hard to get off zyprexa. I get brain zaps. I'm starting to feel a bit better again though which is really good.

You have been switched from a antipsychotic medication to a tricyclic antidepressant. Yes Avanza should help more than the previous medication for depression and yes you sleep great on it due to its strong H1 receptors antagonist which will cause sedation.

You need to give it time to work and most importantly if it's a recent chance you might be experiencing some withdrawal from the previous med while experience side effects of the newer med (they usually go away after your body/brain is adjusted to the changes). The medication can take up to 4 weeks to work so give it time and if you feel something is wrong report as soon as possible to your doctor.
