Tapering

Tapered from 150mg Effexor to 75mg to 37.5mg in three weeks, now off completely. Residual effect is nausuea, tingling anxiety, fatigue, light headed, sensitivity to sound, light, temperature, smell, you know.

What can I do? Can't work, leave my room, function. What is the reason this is happening, and how can it be remedied. Diet? Other medication? Just endure? The physical aspects of this withdrawal are terrible.

I've been there,  i am not a drinker but a beer came in handy when i had to deal with this, i could not stand it anymore. I was not taking any other med's.

this may be bad advise, but i really could not deal with the aftereffects

I've heard awful stuff about effexor. Talk to your doctor about a new drug and wait it out. We depressed people are good at waiting.
