The idea of "ending" your depression may be a little daunting. It may be good to try a different perspective, to look at your feelings with compassion for yourself and try to understand Why you are feeling this way now.
Depression can come in without warning, like a storm, or depression can creep up within life changes, like a season you don't do well in. The idea of "ending" either of those two things is unrealistic, but dealing with them is another matter. It can be done, the grey skies will lift, and you'll be all the stronger for the experience.
As said above, there are many ways to learn to cope, there are tools to be had (books, meditation, dietary changes, talk therapy, exercise, gardening, hobbies, 'community'..) that work well with these difficult feelings and yes, there are medications that can help aid in learning to use those tools and adopting positive coping strategies. Sometimes a combination of all these things will work, sometimes it just takes a good long walk and deep conversation with yourself. Only you will know what works for you, but you must try something. :)
Know that you are not alone in these feelings, many of us struggle with these shadows. We seem to think we are not supposed to feel so lost or despondent..and that belief in itself can add stress!
Know that it will pass, and that there are many resources out here for you. Be Kind to Yourself, be Patient and be Grateful for all you do have, there is a light at the end of this... :)
theres all sorts of things you can do, physiologist, prescriptions. its hard to hide depression, i thought i was hiding mine well one time of my life but it turned out that some could tell. i think the easiest way for me was a hobbie. try it out, painting, models, trains, music. whatever just to get your mind off of nothin
Yes depression can be hard to cope with. But there is help. With medication and talk therapy depression is very treatable. Speak to a psychiatrist and they could help you understand it better. And I'm sure you have real world issues in your life as well and you could talk those over with a talk therapist.
