Sadness during that time of month

Recently I have been getting very depressed the week of my period to the point where I will just cry. I take YAZ so as soon as those 4 days of taking the blank pill I feel like my mood just crashes. I started to take a antidepressant 2 months ago and that was the first time I experienced such a low mood, I usually get more emotional but I felt like it was doubled. Is it normal to get so sad and randomly cry during that time? What can I do?

It's normal to be moody, but this sounds a little excessive.  Your antidepressant should prevent this from happening, so if it isn't contact your doctor and let him know.  It may be the Yaz affecting your hormones too much, maybe discuss this as well with your doctor.  I hope this helps, it awful that you have to endure this every month.  Take care.

YES it is normal. I get very different anxiety and depression prior to my period.  Take your meds and try to realize it will pass and things do get better.
