To anyone thinking of starting EFFEXOR

To anyone who is thinking of starting Effexor:
I found this site and was reading all the comments and got really worried. I really didnt want to start taking it, but I had already filled the perscription and didnt want to waste money so I started it anyways. And boy am I happy I did. I never experienced and side effects at all. And now I feel 1000 times happier on it. I have been on it a month now. Before I started it I tried Lexapro, but it didnt work. I was so depressed that I didnt want to leave the house and my kids were feeling like a chore. Now I am happy all the time and am enjoying my kids..taking them to the park everyday, going to the gym, not fighting with my husband, not crying every night. Effexor was such a life saver for me!!! Give it a try...happiness is worth it!

Same here. I was on Lexepro and that was not working. Effexor seems to work great for me.

glad also that it's working for you as it can be sooo draining on the medication merry-go-round as there's alot of bad press about this medication, withdrawals & side effects as when your in such a dark place you'll try anything. I'm also on venlafaxine but don't rate it as highly as your good self. stay well.

Always good to hear when the medication is helping!  But we all respond differently to these types of medications and although you've had great success with Effexor doesn't mean it's for everyone.  It's often trial and error as to what will work best for each of us a and you're a prime example of what good can come from the right medication.
