Anybody else with comments or opinions??????
Hi jessi
I have a very good friend who is bipolar. His did not take full load until he was in his early 20's. He is now 40. I have watched his manic high's and his crashing low's, and believe me it's very sad. There personalty takes a 360 degree turn. The highs (manic stages) are extremly painful to the love one's. They can do and say and see things that are unreal. The trick is getting them to stay on there meds. because I guess they yearn for the high's. Euphoria, is what I was told. I have watched him being strapped to a gurney in the hosp. I have seen them give him at least 4 injections of medication that would drop a horse but there strength is unbelievable. But, when he's on his med., he's a wonderful and very good person. He can hold a job and a helpful member of soceity.
Jessi, this is just my version of what I see in my friend who has this illness, I understand that there are different phases of the disease.
Hope this helped
