Quitting zoloft cold turkey

I have been prescribed Zoloft for major depression and Xanax for anxiety. I don't want to take Zoloft anymore.
I quit cold turkey 10 days ago.
Lately when exercising, I have noticed pronounced fatigue and some light-headedness. I suppose this is due  to stopping the Zoloft without weaning myself from taking this medication.
Will these symptoms ease up or stop soon?
I still take the Xanax.

PS, be VERY careful with Xanax.  Do not take it often (even in small doses), if you can help it.  It's extremely addictive.  I'm speaking from experience.

In my opinion, and from my own experience, stay on the Zoloft or at least go visit your Dr. before you consider getting off it/lowering.

Personally, I was on a dosage of Zoloft for 10+ years that worked amazing for me.  A year and a half ago I abruptly lowered my dosage by taking 1/3 of what I was used to.  I've had problems on and off since then, with anxiety & panic returning in full force the past week.  I met with my Dr. and I'm working my way back up to the dosage I used to take, to get rid of these nasty side effects of dropping my dosage abruptly.

Hi there,

Please consult your medical professional before stopping and starting medications such as Zoloft. As Paxiled mentioned above, no one can predict how withdrawing will go after stopping SSRI's. To avoid any potential complications, please check with your doctor.

Best wishes,

Steph

You never know until things happen.  Why would you do this?  Well, you did it, I'd say if this is the only thing you're suffering it's not that bad and should pass, but if it persists or things take a turn for the worse, especially if you find you're getting emotional problems you never had before, then I'd go back on the Zoloft at the last dose at which you felt fine and do it right.  But if this is all you have, I think you'll be fine, but nobody can predict how long this "Paxil flu" will continue, as we all differ.
