Wellbutrin XL - Bottle was delivered outside in 92 degree heat. Damaged?

just started having my medication delivered and when I got my Wellbutrin XL, the package and the bottle were VERY hot. I got it around 2pm today and am not sure how long it has been sitting in the heat on that truck. Maybe since this morning?  It's 92 degrees here now..

Do you think the medication has been compromised?  I am just switching from Generic Wellbutrin SR 150 mgs, and this bottle is WB XL brand name 300 mgs.  

Should I can get my Psychiatrist to send an Rx to a local pharmacy, so I can get a fresh bottle that hasn't been in the heat? Do you think it would be necessary?

After thinking about it, because it WAS super hot, I'm still going to ask my Dr for another Rx to take to the local Pharm

Ah, ok I talked to a couple different pharmacists and they said that it hurts the meds only of it's exposed to heat for a longer period of time, like when dippy1 was in Greece for 2 weeks. (ah, isn't Greece beautiful though ...!)

I live in the UK and don't have the same problems with ambient temperature or delivery of scripts. \i did however go to Greece on holiday for 2 weeks last summer and took my meds with me, then had a bad few weeks and eventually settled but revisitted all the old side effects that i'd had on starting them, so figured that the ones that had been in Greece with me must have been weakened by the heat.

You hit the nail on the head. With my insurance, I must get my meds thru mail order from a racket called "express scripts." I hate it because many times when I go to the mail box (living in the deep south) it's like 110 degrees in my mailbox and I worry about the medication being damaged from the heat.

Your concern is very plausible. This stuff doesn't take well to very high or low temps. It can compromize the effectivness.

I wish I could just go to a regular pharmasist to get my meds. This mail order program really *****.
