stay off or go back on?

This is the third day off effexor and I am feeling shocks going through my head and body. I have this feeling of insecurity and severe depression and feel suicidal. I am going through a rough moment with family related and political issues that are very intense and feel that I am unable to function most of the time, but do have moments where there is hope. I also have severe bouts of sweating immensly to the point where my head is soaking wet and dripping. I dont want to be around anyone and feel alone and lost. What can I do, should I continue staying off or should I go back on them?

Contact your doctor and ask if this is just your body adjusting to the medication or if you need to change medications.  Take care....

If you are still having so many symptoms, why go off your meds?
Try waiting until your life situation is stable and supportive and you are feeling well for awhile before stopping your meds.
Yes, discuss with your doctor....
Get well!

You described something that sounds like brain zaps/brain shivers. Effexor is one tough dude to withdraw from. It is very likely to cause severe withdrawal symptoms. You should tapper off slowly if you want to get off this medication to avoid or at least reduce the withdrawal symptoms.
