That was very funny, it was nice to laugh for once!!
You are very welcome. Feel free to write whenever you need to. . .Here is a joke to cheer you up today:
A wealthy man sat by the front of his house in Tucson, Arizona, thinking about his stocks and shares and sipping a large margarita.
Meanwhile, a poor Irish hobo made his way up the long drive to the house and stood humbly, cap in hand, in front of the rich man.
"Excuse me sir," he said, "but I was a wonderin' if you'd have an odd job or two for me to do, as I am poor and hard up and haven't eaten for two days."
The rich man drained his margarita and - feeling rather light-headed - and a bit more agreeable than usual, said...
"Well, let's see. I will pay you twenty bucks if you go round the back of the house and paint the porch. There is a new bucket of pink paint on the steps."
"Thankee, sir, God bless ye," said the poor man and ambled off as fast as he could round the back of the house.
The rich man made himself another margarita and sat back down on his chair at the very same moment that the poor man came back, covered in pink paint and breathing heavily.
"What's wrong?" said the rich man.
"Nothin' sir, I am finished the job and I have come for me pay."
"What!" exclaimed the rich man, you haven't been gone for more than 5 minutes and you're telling me you painted the whole porch?"
"Oh yes, sir, " said the man beaming. "I work fast - and I'll tell ye another thing: It isn't a porch, sir, it's a Mercedes."
Thank you very much. It just seems like it is taking forever, specially when you want sleep without the nightmares just as much as wanting to be a wake without them as well. Thank you for your info.
Thank you so very much . I have seen a lot of action over the last 11 years, but it now just is coming all out...I greatly appreciate your advice.
Hi - I just read about your situation, and I am really sorry you are having such a hard time.
I am not a doctor, but I have had anxiety issues and depression for 65 years due to childhood problems.
I was recently given Buspar (buspirone) 10 mg 3 times a day for anxiety. You may well need something stronger, or a stronger dose, but I have found it more effective for me than Fluoextine which I have taken for 20 years. That did help me. But as I have gotten older anxiety attacks are getting worse and Buspar is a marvelous help for me.
I was in Her Majesty's Royal Marines in England when I was 18, but I never saw action.
Cheers Chris,
Jonathan
Hi chris, sorry to hear about everything you have been through but as far as the meds go,the ssri's like prozac will take a while to work but the benzos should work very quickly, especially xanax. It will work in a few hours where as prozac might take 4 to 6 weeks to kick in.I wish you all the best.
