My breathing problem may be linked to when i was born. I am a twin and my mother was telling me that i was a month premature. That i had a condition called hyaline disease and that i had asthma when i was a small child.  I am thinking it may play a role in my breathing. I work in an enviroment that has a lot of dust  and smoke at times. It's a start

Thanks again. I will be going to see doctor. I really think the weight gain is due to the medicine. You figure if you put on 80 pounds in two years, it is quite a shock to your body. I have tried to get off medicine three times. It's amazing what that 10mg. pill can do.

If your breathing worries you, rather than ask a bunch of lay people, see your general medical doctor. Yes, your breathing problem could be related to your weight but it could be some other medical cause.

You are most welcom, for what it's worht.

Let's not forget about a total physical. Especially some blood work on your thyroid, parathyroid, and maybe a sonogram of your corated artery which they do when they sonogram your thyroid gland automatically. It can tell you if you have any developing plaque in the veins.

Are you a smoker? If so, you need a chest x-ray stat. If there is a history of lung disease in your family, you also need a chest. This can all be done at your physical.

Not ALL weight gain can be worked off with exercise, if you have some metabolic issue, this could be the culprit of the weight, especially when combined with Lexapro. Get that physical and you're at least on your way with a plan.

I was given Lexapro to counteract the dosages of Xanax I take for my Graves disease. I tried it for 2 weeks and gained about 12 pounds, I stopped it and the weight left. Go to your Doc and get another Anti-depressant, this has happened to a lot of people and is a known side effect.

If you really require the medication then stick with it and exercise more and go for walks to get your weight down.
