< 1mm tiny cream coloured insect

hi,

I have been infested with a critter that is not the norm (not scabies, lice, fleas, etc.) and am having quite a problem finding a final solution to getting rid of this. Could be something that I brought back from Baja Mexico or from Greece. This critter definitely flourishes in the heat.

This has been on-going for about 16 months. I've done the normal route, to several GPs, Pathologists, to the Travel Clinic in Toronto, Ont. where they looked at what they called danduff and sent me home offering anti-psychotic drugs. I know now what is what on my head. Had they taken a sample of the "dandruff" they would have found it. I have a 'small' background in entomolgy and agricultural insects (B.Sc. Agriculture) . I have seen it on a slide but it dried up before I got it to the Doc.

Things have escalated. I am now experiencing another form of the critter. These ones come out of my mouth and when I put them in water they float around like white ghosts. Seen in the back of my throat, they look like mucus string. The last doctor I went to told me to go to the USA.

Any suggestions? Who should I see?

Hello,
Unfortunately I have never seen such a case of insects. However if you feel that you are having such an infestation, then it would be better to get a biopsy and microscopic examination of the infected skin.

I hope it helps.Take care and regards.
