Armpit blisters

I have recently gained some incredibly itchy bumps on my right armpit. They have now formed small blisters on a few of the bumps. I have had these for about 6 days now and they have not spread any further yet. There are about 11 bumps in total. The bumps/blisters are about 2mm in diameter. I have done some searches on the internet to find a number of similar questions without any answers. The first thing that came up was scabes but after looking at some pictures it doesn't look like it. I have been to the doctor, all he said was "hum, interesting" and couldn't tell me what it was. He has given me some anitbiotics. Does anybody know what this is? Or how to stop it itching?! Will antibiotics get rid of it? How do I stop it spreading anywhere else? Should I be applying some kind of cream?

Thanks for taking the time to read my question, I hope someone can shed some light as it's driving my mad.

Thanks for the help, the antibiotics seem to be fixing it. I have been on the antibiotics for about 3 days now and there is still evidence of where it was and it stings every now and then but it definitely looks as if it's getting better. I had Flucloxicilin or something like that incase anybody else has a similar problem and would like to know what fixes it.

Thanks for the help Jagesh50
