Blod Blister/Clot or Melanoma

I noticed a dark black, firm and smooth bump on my leg (upper side). It is oval, almost like half-sphere, 5mm in radial diameter, 3mm vertical.
There is small amount of redness on one side. When I touch it, it is not painful.
I have a dermatologist appointment soon.

What  this could be?

Thank You.

I know that until biopsy is done it's hard to diagnose, but could you tell me is it possible distinguish between melanoma and benign lesson based on sectional view of removed bump, by naked eye?
Dermatologist said that it doesn't look like there is layer of possible tumor cells on removed skin under bump.

In case of melanoma excision, are tumor cells on removed skin visible to naked eye?
When tumor cell thickness is 1mm, is it visible on removed skin?

Thank You

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
, Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination, but it can be seborrheic keratosis. It is a benign skin growth of keratinocytes. A skin biopsy will be helpful in confirming a diagnosis.
I sincerely suggest you to consult a dermatologist and get it evaluated.
Hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries. Kind regards.
