Burned Eyelid

A few days ago i burned my left eyelid with a hookah coal. i was smoking hookah with some friends and the coal exploded in my face while i was lighting it. i immediately flushed my eye with cold water and checked my eye in the mirror. the eye itself was not damaged but the eyelid has a nice burn on it. now when i wake up it is really crusty. i don't want to go to a doctor because i don't think it is that serious but now it is a little swollen and im assuming that a new layer of skin is beginning to form, is that normal? Help!

i used a hot compress to soften up the crust/scab,then sanitized some tweezers with a match and rubbing alcohol and proceeded to pick off the crust/scab.
i think it might scar but that is not a problem for me.
it looks way better now compared to two days ago.

swelling went down a little bit. but it still appears a little red. a scab is also forming. i'm now concerned that my eyelash is going to be ingrown since it appears that the eyelash is infused with the scab. should i use a warm/hot compress and gently rub the scab off?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From your description, it looks like a first or second degree burn. Most superficial burns heal within about two weeks and don't usually leave a scarf. For these kind of burns; you can apply antibiotic cream such as silver sulfadiazine (Silvadene). It will prevent infection and help in fast healing.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
