Hi I got min e a year ago in November , l stupidy got it done while on hoilday in turkey, my systems are exactly the same as you (but not in my head). How is it now four years later. Can you please replay to my email. ***@****. Thanks
Thank you for the response. I went to a doctor about this and she told me I needed a good massage, so I went to a different doctor about it and she told me that I it sounded like nerve damage and told me to do ice on it. I had some relieve from it for about a month and then it came back. I don't know what to do. There are only 3 doctors here in Germany that my insurace will cover and this is really starting to bother me a lot. Like I said before the tattoo is not red, swollen, or anything else. It looks fine and just like a normal tattoo, but I am getting this burning sensation in the area of the tattoo and around it. It is not always in the same place and it is not ever all of the areas at the same time. Sometimes it even feels like it is in the back of my head. It feels as if it is like a little ball of fire about the size of a dime traveling around and changing locations. Does that make sense? I have tried to do research on this and can't really find anything but was wondering if it could be a few things. I may be just fetching but am really trying to figure it out. Could it be a blood clot? Could it be an internal infection that I need antibiotics for? Could it be just nerve damage and what can I do for it? I really hope you can help me with this. I am trying to get an appointment with the last of the 3 doctors but there is nothing available right now. UGH. I am tired of this so please help me.
It can be due to compression or irritation of the nerves which supply that area that is giving rise to such burning sensations after getting the tattoo. You need to apply warm compresses and take some analgesic. If the symptoms persist then nerve conduction velocity test may be needed.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
