Hi, I have had quite small spotty-pimpley groups of rashes on the top of my arms, my cheeks lighty, and my bum cheeks...
It can occur in other areas especially upper legs but I don't get that that much.
I have used numerous of moisturises and things that are supposed to treat chicken skin, (aka keratotis pilaris) though none of them worked but to shrink them a bit; now my chicken skin is not as bumpy but is still very showy and it is very embarrassing! I also get a bigger circular marks which look like mole kind of spots, and they are smooth.
My best bet to get rid of them, in case any one comes across this...
after trying what is supposed to work like sudocrem, vaseline, coconut oil, coco butter, ect. None of them working, and I have come across many people saying lush works! Go to a lush store and by a lush which says it's a spot remover, I have heard two people saying that the lush shop in Britain sells a miracle chicken skin remover and it will be gone overnight in one night! This is the name for that lush by the lush company: 'Angels on bare skin', I haven't yet tried it but over 50% sure it works from others' views :)
Hi,
Do you usually shave your legs?
For how long have you noted this? Is this condition present since you were a child?
There is a condition called keratosis pilaris. This is a benign skin condition which involves the hair follicles. The hair follicles in keratosis pilaris are blocked by keratin plugs. The cause is unknown and may resolve spontaneously. For some, the condition may present for weeks or years. Whitish small bumps that give the skin a sand paper feel may cause this condition to be discomforting especially for young adults.
Exfoliation and moisturizing the area are necessary. You may discuss this with your dermatologist so that the diagnosis may be ascertained .
