Circular bruise on glans of penis

Hello. My wife (of 11 years) and I tried anal sex for the first time 3 days ago. We used plenty of lube and she tried to relax but she was very uncomfortable, resulting in us never actually completing the act. However as soon as we were done, I noticed the glans of my penis had a circular, almost bruise like coloration around the very tip. It's been three days now and the coloration hasn't' really changed much. It dark purple and about a dime in circumference, almost perfectly centered on the urethral opening, going down about 1/5 of the height of the glans. I think it's a bruise from us trying to hard however I have never been bruised on my penis nor do I bruise easily otherwise. We have no STIs - tested regularly and have an otherwise very healthy sex life. The "bruise" is a little tender but not puffy or raised. I don't want to run to the Dr. for this just yet, if it is in-fact a bruise. Please let me know what you think. Thank you!

It's only been three days, and if it's not anything more then tender- I would give it a few more days to heal up.  It's impossible to know the cause from a brief description, but I wouldn't think your symptoms should send you rushing to a doctor- unless you are extremely worried.  If it gets worse or changes at all- go ahead and make an appointment.
