Cyst?

I am posting this question in hopes of getting an answer about a growth i have discovered on the back of my scalp. It has been there for about 2 months now and it is getting larger. My Doctor referred me to an ENT thinking that it might be mastoiditis, but the Xrays didnt show any infection.  Im really upset because it seems like my doctor isnt taking this seriously enough, she just took some more blood for tests, but i worry about it maybe being a cyst and it is getting bigger and bigger the longer i wait and i really want to push for a CT scan but i dont know if i am being paranoid or not, and i think i just found another smaller imobile lump like the first one. Can anyone help me and tell me what it might be please? maybe put my fears to rest a little bit.

it is a hard fixed lump right on my mastoid bone. i have already been checked for an infection of the ear, and that test came out negative.  however after an ultrasound the doctor concluded that it is a swollen lymphnode and there are several going down the back of my neck that seem to be getting larger. i have also been through one course of antibiotics and it has not gone away. i am doing another course now and go back in 10 days to make sure they are not still growing larger. he didnt tell me however what the next course of action would be if the swelling did not go down i have heard of lymphoma before but i am scared to think it might be that so i am trying to figure out what the next course of action will be

My spouse has cysts on top of his head. They dont itch. But I think the doctor told him the come from swetting a lot. Are yoy always in the sun?  What type of work do you do? If you weat alot in your job then it might be cysts like my spouse has. His are small and look like little pimples but if yours start getting bigger the doctors can drain it with a needle. When the start growing the hurt a little. My spouse complains about his all the time.

Hi.

How would you describe this lump? Is it red and painful? Is it hard or soft? Where is it exactly located? Is it fixed or movable?

Structures which may present with an infection behind the head includes lymph nodes, sweat and sebaceous glands. Differentials may be a swollen lymph node, a boil, a blocked sweat gland and a lipoma. I know you are highly anxious about this. Your physician may give you a trial run of antibiotics for this .If this does not subside with the antibiotics a scan may be done to delineate the extent of the structures involved. A biopsy may be done to help ascertain the cause of this bump. Redness and pain may suggest an infectious case. Are there any problems with the scalp or the ears?
