I recently saw a 15 year old boy with CC: eyelashes turning white. Indeed on exam sections of upper and lower eyelids contained totally white lashes. There was no sign of lid inflammation, trauma, etc. He did have some xanthomas on the upper lids. He was considerably overweight. I got bloodwork including CBC, Hgb A1c, TFT's, lipid profile, and Cu++. All were normal except the lipids. Chol. and Trig's were elevated and HDL was low.
There was no family history of "white eyelashes". Do you know of anything that could cause this?
(not using any benzoyl peroxide products)
Hi,
YES THEY WILL GROW BACK ONCE THE INFECTION HAS CLEARED.
Hygiene is very important to prevent bacterial infection.
If it anything other than blepheritis you need to check with your dermatologist regarding the isue.
