Hi,
Anxiety disorder is a blanket term covering several different forms of abnormal, pathological anxiety, fears, and phobias. It describes nervous system disorders as irrational or illogical worry not based on fact.
Anxiety disorders are often debilitating chronic conditions, which can be present from an early age or begin suddenly after a triggering event. They are prone to flare up at times of high stress.Anxiety can be accompanied by headache, sweating, palpitations, and hypertension.It is important to note that a patient with an anxiety disorder will often exhibit symptoms of Clinical Depression and vice-versa.
Mainstream treatment for anxiety consists of the prescription of anxiolytic agents and/or antidepressants and/or referral to a Psychologist/cognitive-behavioral therapist.

Some conditions can promote excessive sweating, as a rule involving the whole body:
* Hyperthyroidism or similar endocrine diseases
* Endocrine treatment for prostatic cancer or other types of malignant disease
* Obesity
* Menopause

It would be helpful to rule these out if your anxiety is not due to a psychiatric cause.Please do consult a professional because the drugs required can only be prescribed after you have been assessed.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi

How old are you?

Please tell me something about yourself.

Excessive sweating may also suggest an underlying hormonal problem. I would suggest that you have your thyroid hormones assessed as well as blood pressure assessed. You must be worried about something. If there are any problems at home or at work, it is best to have someone to talk to about this. There may be an increase in the level of stress lately at home or at work and these may contribute to your symptoms.

A complete assessment needs to be done to help determine if underlying organic conditions are present. A complete mental status examination is also important. Try to give yourself more time to relax. Try to rest more and enjoy more.
