Hi,
Thanks for your reply, I went to see a doctor today about it as it has grown in size and the doctor examined it and said it is infected and is a cyst. He's prescribed me Antibiotics course of Magnapen 500mg (2capsules 4 times a day). He said it should clear the infection but as it is a due to blocked glands there is a chance of more cysts coming back. I have had cysts before on my body but never on my scrotum. He advised me to complete the weeks course and see how it goes and if problem gets worse contact him as it could mean having to surgically remove it. I hope the antibiotics do the job.

Hello,
Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but it can be contact dermatitis, rash due to friction rub, folliculitis, cyst or genital wart(caused by HPV infection).
Apply warm compresses,Neosporin ointment and calamine lotion and avoid messing with it.You can take anti-inflammatory pain killers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. If the lump persists then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
There are many things it could be, and it's a good thing that you are seeing your doctor about it.
It could be a glandular thing, but could also be as serious as cancer.
Could also be a cyst...
just make sure to tell your doctor everything, and answer all questions he asks you honestly.
