Hello,
Since the swelling and sagging is bilateral so it rules out most of the causes except for allergic contact dermatitis and lack of sleep. It will be best to get it examined from a dermatologist as it is very difficult to confirm an online diagnosis without examination.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep us posted on how you are doing.
thanks for your comments.
can it be due to pollution due to accidental contact with any material /sand/cement.if it is a nerve injury what can be done?i didn't have any pain in my eyes last week.then how could i say it might be because of nerve inury.
whom should i consult a skin or eye docotor?i have stoped using the creams that day itself.
i tried it only once.but as i said, i didn't apply it on eyelid. i think the cleanser wipe of loreal could have done the sagging, droopy.i have stopped it now.it happened one week ago.
PLEASE KINDLY REPLY MAM,
there is only a slight sagging of eyelids. i didn't use any cream on my eyelid. but i used only facial cleansing wipes of loreal. please tell me will my condition improve. the sagging is in both the eyelids.so it cannot be an eye injury. should i consult a doctor?or the condition will improve on it's own?
Hello,
Sudden swelling of eyelid is due to an allergic reaction and in your case it can happen due to contact dermatitis to the new cream that you have started using. The other cause are some growth in the eyelid like stye or chalazion, migraine headaches, lack of sleep, nerve injury or myasthenia gravis.
All these medical conditions need to be ruled out by examination. Till then stop using the facial cream, instead apply some good hypoallergenic moisturizer, wash your face with a mild soap like Dove and take some antihistaminic like Benadryl.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep us posted on how you are doing.
