How do I get rid of scabies for god?
Got infested with scabies in June. Got 5% permethrin lotion and applied it from the neck down two days in a row, as per the doctor's orders. Also washed my bedding. Doc said there was no need to treat my family or girlfriend. The itching never resolved, but I just chalked it up to post-scabies syndrome...until my brother started itching too. He also has black marks from scratching his skin so much. His newborn son can't stop crying at night, and I fear he got the mites too.
Is there any way for me to get rid of these mites once and for all? Went to the topix forum and nearly had a heart attack when I read about people having this for years. Thank you.
