Hi I'm so sorry to hear your story. Bird Mites can make your life very uncomfortable if they manage to invade your personal space for any lengthy period of time. I wish you all the best and ask you to not give up!
www.birdmiteguide.com has some great information about Bird Mites that may be able to help you with your situation.
I have an infestation too, and the mites have invaded my body as well. The thing is, my husband is not affected by them, although he is sympathetic, he can't really relate to the sheer torture. I have just made an appointment with my Dr. to start the process of finding a solution and cure. I found a medical paper written in April of this year by a team of dermatologists entitiled "Formication Due to True Parasitic Infection: Birdmites". There is also increasing evidence of a new strain if red mite that definitely does survive and thrive off of humans, despite what many profess. I can tell you this, I give you so much credit, because if this isn't resolved soon, I won't make it ten more days, much less ten months...
God bless you. Please let me know if you have any success in finding a solution.
How can you make an identification when nobody knows what it is?
you must not know what you are talking about, because we have no bird nest in our yard or anywhere close to us, and the mites have lived off our blood and had new mites for 10 months even when we moved to another town 60 miles away.
Hi,
It is important that proper identification of bird mites is made and that you remove the bird nests in your place. Treat the area with an approved insecticide to ensure that there will be no future infestation. Bird mites will feed on humans but do not live for long as they cannot complete their life cycle on humans. Infestations are generally self-limiting especially if birds and nesting have been eradicated. Bites from bird mites can cause severe irritation, itching, swelling and raised reddish spots on the skin. An anti-itch cream or lotion may help reduce irritation.
Take care and regards.
