Palms chronically Peeling after every shower.

this is getting to be a problem. I've had this for about a year but it never bothered me until now. My hands peel after every shower. its like the water lifts the top layer of my skin and kills it. It eventually dries and ends up feeling like callouses. Its really embarrassing shaking someones hand and I need help but have no health insurance.

here are some pictures.

What is this? What can I do?

No. Not medication. i had it for a while but i thought nothing of it because it wasnt as bad. lately it has flared up and making me uncomfortable, the way my hands feel.

I've changed nothing in routine. Im not allergic to anything, unless i've become allergic at age 20....

Hi,
Usually hands peel after a prologed stay in water. This is because the essential oils in the skin gets stripped off, thus allowing the water to seep through the pores.
This causes swelling of the underlying tissue in a non-uniform manner thus leading to softening and peeling.
You could apply some moisturizing hand cream every night to prevent drying of the skin.
Sometimes medications can cause it. Are you on some kind every day?
It is best that you get it evaluated further by a dermatologist.
