Penile Infection

Hi, i am a 26 yr male and for last four years i've been facing this skin problem on the glans and foreskin area. It started with foreskin itching and turning pinkinsh and now its has spread further. The area of affect has lost its elasticity so much that the foreskin can no more rollover, turned pinkish-grayish although there is no pain, oozing, or any secretion whatsoever. Just slight itching. Although i try to maintain a proper hygiene but it dosent seem to work. I have not consulted any doctor uptill now. Could you tell me if it could be the symptoms for penis cancer and what should i do to get rid of it. I would really appriciate if you could be kind enough to reffer a good Dermatologist. Thanks in advance.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms the chances of balanitis or fungal infection are there. I sincerely advise you to consult a dermatologist and get yourself evaluated for these possibilities.Till then, you should keep the area clean, wear lose comfortable clothes to avoid sweating, use a powder to keep the area dry  and use calamine lotion at the sites. Oral antihistamine medications would help for relieving itching.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

The symptoms may be something as simple as dermatitis, a treatable general skin condition.  A dermatologist would be able to prescribe oral and/or topical treatments upon a more specific diagnosis.  Your profile doesn't provide your location, so it would be difficult to refer you if you're actually located in a different country.  Also, if you have insurance, limitations are often applied to in-network doctors vs. out-of-network doctors.  Good luck!!
