Hi,
This could be balanitis. Balanitis is inflammation of the glans penis. When the foreskin (or prepuce) is also affected, it is termed balanoposthitis.
Inflammation has many possible causes, including irritation by environmental substances, physical trauma, and infection by a wide variety of pathogens, including bacteria, virus, or fungus—each of which require a particular treatment.
Retract the foreskin daily and soak in warm water to clean penis and foreskin. Apply bacitracin (not Neosporin) for pediatric patients if bacterial infection is suspected.
Apply topical clotrimazole for adult men with probable candidal balanitis.
If the symptoms persist, you would need to consult your doctor.
Let us know if you need any other information.
Regards.
I've tried treating this with anti fungal but it keeps coming back when I attempt intercourse with my wife, can I be getting this from her?
I am also suffering from this as well as psoriasis on my legs that showed up around the same time. After going to the dermatologist twice…no answers, just prescriptions. Upon further research I learned that skin issues can be the result of intestinal parasites. After doing a “full moon protocol” I expelled nematodes and flukes from my intestines. The skin started to clear up but became irritated again as a result of the parasite “die off” toxins released. I will be repeating the intestinal cleanse every month until I don’t see anymore. NOTE: some of the nematodes were over 24” long. Good luck and I hope you find a cure.
