Rash Above Lip

I read a posting a little while back that addressed what appeared to be a very similar condition. In the posting it describes innitial misdiagnosing and then a reasuring new course of action given.(see post address below) This gave me hope becouse like the patient I had already gone through a few unsuccessful treatments and was getting desperate. Well guess what. Now I'm really desperate. Please see this posting which inspired me.

http://www.medhelp.org/forums/dermatology/messages/31870.html

So I too had used the steroids(Triamcinolone 1%) and antifungals(iodoquinol 1%/Lotramin topical...)and then after mentioning this posting to my dermatologist, she agreed to try the"antibiotic" route. Specifically I was prescribed Minocycline 100mg, 14 caps. And a topical Mupirocin 2%. My  dermatologist was sckeptical of the antibiotic route and also prescribed Finacea, for a Rosacea condition.
I am unpleased to anounce that neither the posting above solution neither both of the specific prescriptions helped me. The only response I got was from the oral antibiotic for the first week of the two and that reduced te redness by about 30%.
To make matters worse than they are, its been close to a week since I left a message with my dermatolagist and havent heard back. I get the feeling that this thing is unbeatable and shes avoiding the defeat.
Can anyone please help?

I have tried an over the counter anti-histamine like Zyrtec for 4 or 5 days now and there has been zero improvement. Do you have any other suggestions. I would SO much like to figure this out. Please.
My last dermatologist ignored me for over a week and when I asked to at least let me know when I could at least expect to here from her.....thats been a week ago, (2 weeks total) so she has essentially not only given up, but not even letting me know personally. Is there any way to report physicians for things such as that. So people can make informed decisions about which physician to go to? I understand that in this day and age physicians dont want to be wrongly accused and pay lots of money for insurance... but its created an imbalance working in the opposite extreme? I'm just frustrated. Please help.

Hi,
A rash in this site could be an allergic response to some personal care product or some other cosmetic procedure.
Since it is not responding to antibiotics/anti-fungals/anti-roseacea medications it could be allergy or an auto-immune disorder which sometimes can present with rashes.
Allergies are prone to recurrence .
Try  anti-histamines and see if they are of any help.
