Rash on foreskin

Hello, my boyfriend and i engaged in protected sex today, and we decided to try anal sex. He had only tried once before in the past, but was a litttle timid. So today we tried and succeeded but then he abruptly stopped and said it hurt his penis. After getting home, he took a shower and said it hurt. He has foreskin surrounding all the top of his penis, but a small hole for the lil: hole for pee&sperm. I think he may have ripped the foreskin or burned it. What do you suggest we do?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to friction rub or chafing and he may not be able to retract his foreskin due to phimosis. he should wash the areas with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also he should wear cotton undergarments. Application of mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Hello Monalissa,

If he cannot fully retract the foreskin from the head of penis he may have phimosis. Which may hurt during sexual intercourse. I don't believe he ripped off the foreskin. It is recommended some topical steroid cream like betamethasone or even hydrocortisone 1 %.

Take care!
